As a dentist near Longhorn, Dr. Patel enjoys all aspects of dentistry and is always eager to help his patients achieve longer-lasting, healthier smiles that benefit their daily life for years to come.
His decision to become a dentist stemmed from his intrigue in biology and the joy he found in working with his hands. With his father desiring all of his sons to enter the medical profession, he decided that dentistry would allow him to bridge his interests with a desire to help others.
Graduating from the Government Dental College & Hospital in Ahmedabad, India, in 2006, he earned his dental degree from the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine in 2011. Since that time, he has completed more than 500 hours of continuing education courses, many of which focused on hands-on training in dental implant surgeries.
Dr. Patel also attended a preceptorship with the University of Texas at San Antonio.
To stay informed about the latest changes and advancements in the field of dentistry, he maintains active membership in the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, the San Antonio District Dental Society, and the Texas Dental Association.
With Fellowship status in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, he had to present 20 successful cases and take a minimum of 100 hours of continuing education in implant dentistry.
When he’s not busy transforming smiles, you’ll find Dr. Patel spending time with his wife of more than 10 years and their young son. He enjoys music and watching football and is happy to have his parents living with him, helping his family to feel complete.
