He also deeply enjoys working alongside our “happy and caring” team that enables our dental office to consistently deliver world-class service. Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?
Dr. Patel’s father always wanted his sons to go into the medical profession because he thought that helping people was a noble pursuit. While his brother ultimately decided to study biomedical engineering, Dr. Patel was always good with his hands and liked biology, so he says it was a no-brainer to choose dentistry as his career!
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
Dr. Patel graduated from the Government Dental College & Hospital in Ahmedabad, India, in 2006, and he eventually earned a dental degree from the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine in 2011.
Since then, he has completed over 500 hours of continuing education, including extensive hands-on training in dental implant surgeries. He also attended a preceptorship through the University of Texas at San Antonio.

Dr. Patel also has Fellowship Status in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. To earn this distinction, he had to present 20 successful dental implant cases to the organization as well as take at least 100 hours of continuing education solely dedicated to implant dentistry. He also needed a letter of recommendation from another member of the ICOI’s Advanced Credentials Committee certifying his dedication to providing only the best restorative care.
Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?
Dr. Patel and his wife have been happily married for over 10 years, and they have a young son who is currently crazy about dinosaurs. His parents also live with him, and he says this makes his family feel complete. He is a big music person and usually hums while he works, but his greatest passion outside of family and dentistry is football. If you want to find him during football season, you can be certain that he’s in his media room!
